Vivre Liège Demain

Exhibition scenography

Vivre Liège Demain is an exhibition dedicated to the City of Liège’s new territorial ambitions within the framework of its Municipal Development Scheme.
Installed in the former children’s library of Les Chiroux, the exhibition offers a prospective reading of the territory addressed to the public.

The scenographic apparatus is structured around a linear wooden structure, conceived as a unifying, traversing element. Designed to be entirely fabricated from reclaimed materials, this framework supports the presentation of the projects and organizes the reading of the four major challenges shaping Liège’s landscape.
Deployed throughout the entire space, it cuts across the existing architecture, passing through columns and staircases, simultaneously negating and engaging with the given spatial conditions, and generating a continuous architectural promenade.

The exhibition content is complemented by the photographs of Matthieu Litt and by the proposals of the 3 international design offices (AUC, Baumans-Deffet, and Michel Desvigne Paysage), offering multiple interpretations of contemporary urban issues.

The scenography and signage are grounded in a circular and reuse-based approach, relying almost exclusively on reclaimed, reused, or recyclable materials, as well as didactic panels printed on cellulose-based paper, developed in collaboration with Circonflexe and L’Atelier de l’Avenir.
